I’ve discovered it’s quite a common occurrence to sit down with a couple to look through our four wallpaper sample books and for the man to comment ‘I don’t want any florals’ even before we open the books. Perhaps he has Grandma’s old lounge room in mind!  Then we open the books, and BAM! Contemporary floral designs abound and they start to nod and express approval and finally, say how much they like a particular design even though it’s got flowers in it… I love it!

Last weekend we visited one such couple and I’m delighted with the choices they made.  The first design they chose for their living area is one of my personal favourites, Vivid – Red.

The above design is not adequately captured in an image. The background red colour is more red than this picture that has a slight orange tone to it and it looks like raw silk. The floral design is actually a golden beige. Truly stunning.
